Cadelle Leather is excited to announce that we have partnered with i=Change. As a small local business based in Melbourne, we wanted to be apart of positive change in our community. Around mid-2023 we partnered with i=Change, a not-for-profit which enables us to contribute $1 from every sale towards development programs that are close to our heart. Since our partnership went live, each and every one of your purchases has had a positive impact in the lives of others.

How does it work?

$1 from every sale we make is donated to one of the projects that i=Change is involved in. You have an option at checkout to choose which of the following projects you would like to support:

  • End the marriage of girls
  • Prevent women dying
  • Support homeless youth

Therefore, the impact of your purchase is very real for the women on the receiving end of these donations. By simply making a purchase with us and any other businesses who partner with i=Change you are actively contributing towards making a positive social and environmental change in the world.

What are the projects about?

End the marriage of girls

South Asia, India

2 in every 5 marriages in India involve a child. The state of Bihar has one of the highest rates of child marriage, where 46% of girls marry before the legal age of 18. These girls are not only denied their childhood but suffer increased risk of domestic violence and experience limited opportunities for education and employment.

i=Change works in partnership with The Hunger Project Australia to encourage adolescent girls in India to exercise their voice and agency, increasing their ability to change their futures, follow their dreams, and end their own hunger.

Prevent Women Dying

Australia

Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

Through the partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Your purchase contributes to the funding of investigative research that  helps us detect tumors earlier, improve treatment outcomes, and ultimately save lives.

Support Homeless Youth

Australia

Over 28,000 young Australians aged 12-24 are homeless. These young people often face social and community isolation and experience limited opportunities.

In partnership with Homie, your purchase contributes towards ‘VIP days’ for young people experiencing homelessness. Giving these people the opportunity to choose new clothing, get haircuts, beauty treatments and lunch with the Homie team.

This provides young people with a day of pampering and fun, to increase their confidence, experience community connection, a sense of belonging and acceptance as VIPs.

Of course, our ability to contribute to these important campaigns wouldn't be possible without your support. From the bottom of our hears, we want to thank you for your support and we look forward to continuing to fundraise for these projects.
